Being in the present moment, or the "here and now," means that we are aware and mindful of what is happening at the moment. The key to happiness is staying happy and healthy.

One can fight, cut down on overthinking, worry, be grounded, and stay connected with everything.

Despite being a widely discussed topic, many people have begun to acknowledge its significance but are unable to accept it because they are preoccupied with the past or the future and hardly give the present any thought.

Being "here and now," or in the present, indicates that we are mindful of everything happening in the moment.

Why is it so difficult to live in the present?

Living in the moment and making use of the day are probably the two most important factors about dealing with stress and anxiety.

We have seen new age philosophers in modern psychology; we are told to put aside the past and worries and try to make out of the present.

But we, as human beings, have been gifted with awareness, distinguishing human beings from other species, making it hard to live in the present.

Studies have shown the human psychology that has evolved and lives in the past and future.

Living in the past prevents us from learning anything and makes it harder for us to survive; other species have reflexes and instincts that help them survive, but they also rely heavily on us. I would reply that nobody would want to invest in education because we have anxieties about the future that are necessary to spur us on to action.

The reason for us to live in the present is that our intelligent and subconscious mind denies its existence. The mind is working like the computer; our mind views time as a cognition and linear process. We see advertisements, reminders, notifications, messages, and alerts, which allows us to focus on the past or future.

Our inability to live in the present arises from something that is bothering us,, which may be external factors like income, jobs ,or house.
